Coming Home
We came home on Thursday morning. This picture is for you, Grandma Ivory... Thanks for the cute outfit. The hat is the one she got from the hospital. Cute, huh?
Daddy made these nice signs to welcome us home. There were also flowers. What a good hubby and daddy! It was also nice to come home to a clean house stocked with yummy food... Thank you Mom and Brian!

Xander LOVES his baby sister! The first thing he says when we wakes up in the morning is "I see my baby sister!" He says how cute she is. He always wants to touch her cheek (he gives it a gentle pinch) and give her kisses, and talks to her in his high, baby-talk voice. He is such a good big brother.

More Information
Sorry I was so bad about information last post. I guess more people care about birth weight than I thought. Anyways, we picked out a name... Lillian Wyn Boston. Lillian is Kelley's grandmothers name. Wyn comes from Elwyn, which is Kelley's dads middle name and her grampy Kanes middle name. Grampy Kane passed away Saturday, so we thought it was fitting to use his middle name. Also, the doctor that delivered her was Dr. Nguyen (pronounced "win") so that factored into the middle name. Also, my stepmom Traci's middle name and my sister Erica's middle name is Lyn with one n so Wyn is kind of like that also. Anyways, that is her name to make a long story longer. Also, she was born at 11:51 pm on Sunday, weighing in at 8 lbs. 4 oz. and being 21.5 inches long. Am I missing anything?

Baby Girl Born
After a long day, our new baby girl was finally born at 11:51 pm. We went into the hospital at around 10:00 am, and the girl was a little stubborn about coming out. However, she is finally here, and mommy is recovering very nicely. When mommy gets out of the hospital, she will post more. Since this is my first time blogging anything, I will just stick to pictures and hopefully a video.

Past Due
So I'm 40 weeks 3 days pregnant. Still waiting for this baby to come.... I must have stubborn babies, or a very comfy womb. I actually drank Castor Oil this morning (YUCK, YUCK, YUCK)... Dr's orders. It did it's original job of being a laxative, but failed in the induction department so far. :)
Here's a little of what we have been up to while we wait for this baby girl:
Fourth of July
On the Fourth of July, we had a lunchtime BBQ with lots of friends. It was Kristin's birthday, and she hosted it! We played lots of games.

We had a frozen t-shirt contest. Brian did NOT win... mostly because he was taking his sweet, precious time so as not to have to put on a cold, wet shirt.

I came in second for the girls... Kristin won, but she let me have the prize because I was so close behind her (and maybe out of sympathy for being so pregnant?)

We had a watermelon eating contest. I didn't want to participate... mostly because I didn't want pictures of my-pregnant-self with my face shoved in a watermelon wedge... but I was coaxed into it.

Then the kids had a potato sack race. Kristin had the great idea of using those flex-garbage bags. I just tied Xander's around the back of his neck because he couldn't get the hang of holding on to the bag.

Then the boys played a game of baseball. Brian had been waiting for this all morning.

It started raining that night, just as we were about to go to some fireworks with the Dobson's, so we just went to the Olive Garden instead. I have never seen the OG so dead on a Friday night! Then, after dinner, we went home and did some sparklers and poppers with the kids. I was a little afraid that Xander was going to be scared of them, but he loved it!

...going to Atlantic City
Two Tuesdays ago, we went to Atlantic City with the Farnsworth's, the Roger's, and Brett. We had never been to Atlantic City before. We like that it is free and that you can swim wherever you like, but we don't like all of the shells that tear your feet up. All of the adults had fun boogie boarding (including me!... I just kinda turned to the side), and the kids had fun playing in the sand. It was our first time going to the beach with other kids... Xander loved having his little friends there to play with.

Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband

On Sunday morning we found out that Ryan Shupe & the Rubberband were going to be doing a fireside that night. I called my mom at noon and told her they were coming. She packed her bags, jumped in the car and was here in 7 hours (it's a 7 hour drive from NH w/ no traffic!)... just in time for the opening song. I was a little unsure how they were going to pull off a concert/fireside on a Sunday night. They played calm/church-themed songs (with the exception of when they played "The Corn Dog Song" at the end, due to a request), dressed in their Sunday best, and bore their testimonies in between songs. It was great! And, -BONUS- I tricked my mom into coming early! Now I'm just trying to keep her from leaving, since this baby isn't making an appearance. I will post pics of us with the band as soon as I get them off mom's camera.
...going to Atlantic City, again!
We went again this Tuesday with momma Kane, the Sperry's, and the Dobson's (minus Colby). We love the beach. The boys boogie board. The girls soak up the sun. The kids (and Brett) make sandcastles. One thing we love about Atlantic City beach is the showers up by the boardwalk. The last picture is of Xander dancing on the boardwalk in his swim diaper while waiting for his shower.
